Random Thoughts for Wednesday

1. If I have a hole anywhere in my sock, why does my big toe always find it?

2. Why does every member of the family have a pressing issue they need to discuss IMMEDIATELY with me when I am buck naked in the shower?

3. Why does soy cheese taste so incredibly horrible?  I'm sure the makers of this cheese could have found some better flavor other than 'fart'.  May I suggest 'ear wax' as a better alternative?

That's it.  That is all the contemplating my measly brain can handle for today.  Have a satisfactory Wednesday.

...and that, my friends, concludes this blog. I think yesterday's post is an appropriate way to end it. I really don't have the time to keep a blog anymore.  My posts aren't as entertaining as they used to be (sometimes I bore myself) and right now it just seems more like a chore than a creative outlet. 24 Hour Relay Report--Facebook Style

Status: Walked almost 30 km this weekend. Walked from 11pm until 3 am--did 20 km--stumbled, weaved, bobbed, and limped through that last 2 kms and now have empirical knowledge of what it feels like to be asleep on your feet.   Feet hurt. Legs hurt. Hips hurt. 75 year old man passed us during our 4th hour. He was on his 16th hour and managed to run 165 km in a 24 hour period. Inspiring! Humbled by elderly, fit man, called the Lone Wolf. What courage. Reached my fund raising goal.  Thank you to all who donated.  Your contributions helped to raise over $1,000,000.00 and send 852 kids to summer camp this year.  Thank you.  Visited Starbucks 3 times in effort to warm up. Weather was not on our side. Cold and rainy! Ick!  Slept in a tent trailer for the first time in my life! It was so cool. It was also especially wonderful to be out of the rain and not sleeping on the ground. Met a bunch of crazy people.  Got to hang out wif  my best fwiend for the entire weeke

Scents and Scents-ability

Before I became a Mommy I was a working girl. And when I was a working girl, I was a GOOD smelling working girl. I had my favorites--Tresor, Poison, Giorgio, Ysatis, Tuscany per Donna, Eternity by Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis and Alfred Sung. I had so many perfumes--and I loved them all! Then I became a Mommy and I did away with all my perfumed-ness. Why? I guess I didn't want my baby to have to breathe all that while s/he was trying to nurse. Perfumed flavored milk? Yucky! And...I never went out so why did I need to smell pretty? Wasn't smelling like breast milk, puke and baby poop enough of a sensory overload? Now I'm two things: Mommy and Working Girl. But I'm not a breastfeeding Mommy so you know what that means... BRING ON THE PERFUME!! The other day I went to the store and I was bowled over by the choices! Givenchy has a million scents now, JLo has like three kinds, and then there's that Ed Hardy guy with the fabulous name-- Christian Audidgi
