Knee Deep in Insanity...

My life is flying by at hyper -speed these days. I used to function on a week to week basis, then revised it to a day by day basis but now it's a quarter hour by quarter hour basis! I can't believe that every second of my day is scheduled so tightly! I have to admit that it's kind of fun though!

I'm planning my first PAC social activity and it is a Family Movie Night. I'm very excited about it and hope the families like the Christmas sing a long, the door prizes, the refreshments and the movie (Elf--my fave). My planning time was cut in half when we realized that the date the principal had given me turned out to be the same one as the school staff Christmas party. Sheesh, you think he'd have known about that eh?! Anyway, that warped the whole event into hyper speed!

Then there's the Walk to Bethlehem costumes for the kids in the angel choir. The kids perform tomorrow night...just got the costumes finished now (10:00pm). That's a little close for my liking.

Yep...the busy season is upon us. December is filled not only with the regular Christmas celebrations but also a wisdom tooth extraction for me; oral surgery and orthodontic procedures for Morgan; hair cuts 'n colors...you name it, it's probably on my list.

I have to say though that I am really enjoying the busy-ness...it's certainly keeping me focused and has opened up many doors for me to help out. I didn't anticipate that I would enjoy the act of service as much as I do. I think if I were ever in a position to convince kids to stay away from drugs I would tell them to help others as it's a high that you can't get from a bottle!

Oops...gotta go...got to go cross number 23 off my 'To Do' list!

The earth stood still today. No, it wasn't because the planets were aligned. No, it wasn't because yesterday's date was 10/10/10 (which happens only once every 1000 years) No, it wasn't because the month of October has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays, in it which, according to Facebook (and we know how reliable that is),only happens once every 823 years. Now, you need to understand that I only pick up my iron to move it from one location to another. Well if this doesn't completely rock your socks then I don't know what will: Taylor Lautner AND Tom Cruise staring in a movie.. together l  And it's about airplanes!   It's TOP GUN all over again people!  I'm just too excited for words. Now, yes, I admit, Tom did crash and burn in my books after the couch incident on Oprah; and after marrying Katie whats-her-name, but all in all, I still like him.  As long as he doesn't open his mouth except to speak his lines in a movie. And Taylor Lautner.  I know, right?  What a beauty!  I don't have a crush or anything on him (puhlease, I could be his MOTHER!) but my eyes do appreciate the view when he's on the screen.  Yes, my eyes, and ONLY my eyes.  Now, as far as crushes go, you need to talk to my daughter.   Taylor adorns practically every inch of her bedroom walls. Happy 20th Anniversary to Us!!

Yeah, so the old man and I have been hitched for 20 years today.  Been together for 30 years (yes, we started dating when we were BABIES!) and yes, I have been with him for more than 1/2 of my life.  That's pretty crazy when you think of it...he's been there for EVERY major milestone of my life, and I for his.  It's pretty hard for either of us to pull a 'remember when' memory from a period of our lives in which the other person wasn't present.  Oh sure we went off and did things separately, like I lifeguarded for 2 summers in a little town in the Interior, and he lived in the Okanagan for about a year, and he climbed mountains with friends and did hikes that I wasn't part of,  but we were still a couple.   We started dating when I was 14 and he was 17--I had to get special permission from my parents to date him because I wasn't allowed until I was 16.  I remember the discussion quite vividly and my parents agreed to allow him to come over, and to take
