Date with Kiki...
Kiki has waited so patiently for her mommy/daughter date and this Saturday she finally got her special time. She received a gift certificate to the local ceramics shoppe (doesn't spelling it that way give it a boutique-y feel?) from her friend for her birthday in October, and she felt it was high time we used it! I couldn't have agreed more.
After we carefully selected the pieces that we wanted to paint we then were faced with the daunting task of choosing colors. Phew...that was a chore!
Kiki chose to paint a turtle piggy bank (which she named Fwoggy...go figure) and chose sour apple green for the body; periwinkle and grape-ful for the shell. Lucky Fwoggy, she's gonna be such a purty turtle!

Here's Fwoggy all exposed...nekked and cold...just waiting for somone to coat her with love (and paint).
You gotta concentrate.....
Wow! Fwoggy's looking pretty stellar. Notice Kiki's clenched fist. She's very focused.
It's okay honey, RELAX!
The stress is killing me; let's have a look at my work. No clenched fists here. I'm kind of liking the way this turned out.
After we finished we had to leave our treasures at the shoppe so they could get glazed and fired. We should be able to pick them up later this week. Yay! Great idea Kiki! Wonderful date! Love ya!!
Let's finish it off with some gourmet ice cream....Kiki had white chocolate with skor bar pieces and I had double dark chocolate with fudge brownie and caramel sauce. Oh my thighs!!
What a GREAT day!!
