Busy, busy...
Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday that I wrote on here but in fact, it's been quite a while.
Quick run down on the events of my life:
1. Got a new great-nephew! His name is Eli and he was a whopping 9lbs 7 oz! My niece-in-law is a tiny, size 5 (maybe a 7), so for a baby this size to come out of her is AMAZING! Anyway, all are happy and healthy and that's more than anyone could ask for. Welcome to the world little (big) guy.
2. I've got a new calling: I am now Compassionate Service Leader. I'm excited to help serve and to help the sisters in our ward to serve. I will miss being a teacher in the Relief Society though...I loved that calling.
3. Our second movie night of the year (school event) was a whopping success! We showed Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (the DAY it was released on video) and we had over 220 attendees. We started popping popcorn at 5:00pm and finished at about 8:20 (10 minutes before the movie ended). We also gave out 25 door prizes. Next up is a Canucks night where we will serve pizza and maybe some sort of candy. After that I am planning a Spring Fling (semi-formal) dance...that's going to be a ton of work and I should probably get on that sooner rather than later!
4. Mo danced her first tap solo and placed 3rd! The group was quite large (by our standards) and very competitive; everyone of the 8 girls were amazing tappers, so it was quite an honor for Morgan to even place on her first time out! We're so proud of her. One of her best friends, Mikayla, won first place. We were so excited for her

5. Our school held a coin drive to raise money for the Variety Club Telethon and in five days we raised over 1100.00!! Karen and a couple other PAC moms and I spend two days rolling the coin. I can't remember all the numbers but I know we rolled 493 rolls of pennies! My hands, no matter how much I washed them, smelled like pennies for days!
6. That's about it; it's Valentine's Day today (or as Zee would say: ValenTIMES day) so spend it with someone you love: rejoice in your relationships with family, with God and with friends...don't feel the need to feed the commercialism of the day with silly gifts that will be forgotten; give the gift of your time. Play with, eat with and LOVE your family. Hmm...Pray, Eat, Love...that's a good title for a book...hee..hee...
Blessings to all! Have a great day/weekend.
Love Lisa
