Whistler...

Oh how we loved, and were inspired by, Whistler.

We loved strolling through the village in the evenings, sucking on our COWS ice cream (Gooey Mooey is the bomb!!!) and soaking up the atmosphere. There was so much ENERGY there! From the dust covered mountain bikers returning after a day of riding the trails and jumping off cliffs, to the roller-bladers, hikers, yuppies, hippies, families, dogs....

I saw things that made me realize that there's so much in life to explore and do! We were both amazed and shocked by the extreme mountain bikers we saw roaring down Whistler mountain. Amazed that they didn't kill themselves and shocked at how many of them were girls! Next year we're going to be part of that crazy crew! Okay, maybe Zee's not old enough to do that yet, but we were definitely inspired to start biking some trails.

The kids got to jump on trampolines while tied to bungee cords and Mo did backward flips over 30 feet in the air!

Zee and Hubby went so fast down the luge that they almost flipped over! Hubby is sporting some pretty fine bruises on his arm from that adventure. Zee got to drive a go-cart all by himself and I think all the time he spends playing MarioKart on his DS has really paid off; he's got some pretty cool driving moves! He managed to deek around other drivers (passed on the inside lane) and he only bumped into the barricade once! I think we've got a future Mario Andretti on our hands!

Zee and Kiki LOVED doing the zip line and next time we go we are going to do the ZipTrek or WildPlay zipline adventure trek. We couldn't do that this year because Zee was too young but next year.....woo hoo...can't wait!!

We rode the Peak 2 Peak gondola that goes between Whistler and Blackcomb mountain and then hiked the Alpine Trail on Blackcomb. It was an easy trail (and the only one open due to forest fires) and it was breathtakingly beautiful! I was filled with awe at God's creations and the 'gift' He gives us in nature.

This is Brandywyne Falls....

Sunning in Shannon Falls....

Each day we swam in the pool both morning and evening; watched movies after strolling through the village and ate junk food until we actually CRAVED a salad! Go figure!!!

We had a great, relaxing, inspiring, motivating and family-bonding time!

I love vacations!!!

When can we go again?!

PS. Happy 18th Anniversary to us....

Still love this man with all my heart!
