Wanna know my definition of BLISS?

Walking hand in hand with the one I love while having an uninterrupted and engaging conversation.

That's what Hubby and I did this afternoon. We are rarely a spontaneous couple but today we decided to just take off on the kids (mwu ha ha ha) and go for a walk in the glorious sunshine. We found outselves at Starbucks (yes, I KNOW it's Sunday but the events of the last month and a half have left very little time to steal a few moments together) where we had a nice frosty drink (yum...a blended strawberry lemonade with a couple of shots of raspberry! Try it, you'll LOVE it!)and had time to just talk, dream and stare into each others' eyes. I loved it!

I'm so lucky to still be in love with the same man after 28 years (if my Hubby ever finds out about this guy he's going to be really mad! Just kidding!!). We were high school sweethearts and I can't really remember life before him. I remember when I was in university a friend, who was struggling in her relationship, asked me how I knew I was in love with my Hubby. I told her that everytime he walks into a room my heart jumps into my throat. She asked how I would know when I wasn't in love with him anymore and I answered, "When my heart doesn't jump anymore." Duh...

After 28 years together with almost 18 of them as a married couple, he still makes me catch my breath when he walks into a room. I love him more than anyone can ever imagine and I consider myself the most blessed woman in the world to be in love with, and married to, this man.

I love you Hubby...always and forever. You are my flippin' world!!!

hhmmm...was I that friend? I remember being troubled in my relationship ... Thanks Be to GOD I found the right guy at last! Nice to hear a romantic story - sometimes life gets so busy with kids it's important to get out with hubby! Cheers!

The earth stood still today. No, it wasn't because the planets were aligned. Well if this doesn't completely rock your socks then I don't know what will: Taylor Lautner AND Tom Cruise staring in a movie.. together l  And it's about airplanes!   It's TOP GUN all over again people!  I'm just too excited for words. Now, yes, I admit, Tom did crash and burn in my books after the couch incident on Oprah; and after marrying Katie whats-her-name, but all in all, I still like him.  As long as he doesn't open his mouth except to speak his lines in a movie. And Taylor Lautner.  I know, right?  What a beauty!  I don't have a crush or anything on him (puhlease, I could be his MOTHER!) but my eyes do appreciate the view when he's on the screen.  Yes, my eyes, and ONLY my eyes.  Now, as far as crushes go, you need to talk to my daughter.   Taylor adorns practically every inch of her bedroom walls. Happy 20th Anniversary to Us!!

Yeah, so the old man and I have been hitched for 20 years today.  Been together for 30 years (yes, we started dating when we were BABIES!) and yes, I have been with him for more than 1/2 of my life.  That's pretty crazy when you think of it...he's been there for EVERY major milestone of my life, and I for his.  It's pretty hard for either of us to pull a 'remember when' memory from a period of our lives in which the other person wasn't present.  Oh sure we went off and did things separately, like I lifeguarded for 2 summers in a little town in the Interior, and he lived in the Okanagan for about a year, and he climbed mountains with friends and did hikes that I wasn't part of,  but we were still a couple.   We started dating when I was 14 and he was 17--I had to get special permission from my parents to date him because I wasn't allowed until I was 16.  I remember the discussion quite vividly and my parents agreed to allow him to come over, and to take
