I'll tell you all a story...

(sing this to the Beverly Hillbillies song.  If you don't know it, here's the link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD22a4APsCg)

about a girl named Mo
a cute little girl
who got into the front row.

When one day
she wore a tutu on her head.
She looked so awesome,
that she knocked the people dead.

"Hey, little girl, you look like a fan....
How'd you like to go out on the floor?"

Well the first thing you know,
Ole' Mo is jumping for glee
as we make it down front
to watch the Vict'ry ceremony

Then Miss Kay, said, "On the TV is where you outta be."
So we pushed her up front and we waited anxiously...

Smile, we said.
Act crazy.
Jump around.

Well, the next thing you know
Ole Mo is on the screen
Smiling away for all the world to see...

And now my song ends 'cause I can't rhyme no mooooore,
So I won't.

What was she wearing that caused all this ruckus?  Well, it was her sister's white tutu, a headband that had maple leaves sticking out, a red shirt, white scarf, and of course, THE red mittens.  She got so much attention that complete strangers would come up and stand beside her and get their picture taken.  One guy literally threw his camera into my  hands so he could be in the picture!  It was hilarious and quite the experience for a normally shy girl.  After a few instances of this, she just learned to lean in, smile and say "you're welcome!".  What a trooper!

Our seats for the Victory Ceremony (the final one of the Olympics) were way up in the nosebleed section and as we were slowly plodding our way up there, I got a call from Miss Kay who was elsewhere in the stadium and wondering where we were.  As we were talking on the phone, while standing in the aisle, I took out my little flashlight and flashed it in her direction so that she could spot me.  Sure enough she did.

But so did the Olympic volunteer (whom we lovingly call 'The Smurf') and suddenly she was waving us down from the aisle.  I thought we were in trouble for flashing the flashlight and I was prepared to apologize and vow never to do it again when suddenly she flashed this big smile at us and says, "You guys look like you're huge fans, how would you like to get upgraded onto the floor?"

Well, DUH!

We took that ticket and started running!  We were so excited!!

Wanna hear the most amazing thing?  Miss Kay and her hubby got upgraded too!!!  We were all down there, rocking out to Great Big Sea, together!

Amazing!!

Afterwards we met up with Hubby and my nephew, Mr. Tee, who were at the Canada vs. Slovakia game (lucky bums!!)  and we all headed down to Robson square to watch the Fire and Ice show!

What an amazing night!

Epic!!

(Mo has just heard one of her best friends call her name here...that's why she's not looking at the camera!)

(She found her!)

(obligatory Mountie photo)

What an amazing experience!!
