A little boo-yah, if you please....

Hello, Week 12 of running!

Hello, 50 minute run WITH NO BREAKS!

Hello, Successful Completion of Said Run!

Hello, Great Feeling!

Hello, Feeling of Accomplishment!

Hello, Runners' High!

Ahhh....such a great feeling!

Only two more weeks of the program and then we start swimming. I can tell Hubs is NOT excited about this next phase. He doesn't like to get his face wet.

He's pretty sure he'll be competitive doing the doggy paddle.

Um, no. (Say Hello to Last Place!)

I've bought him some goggles for his b-day (schmexy gift, I know), so he's practically ready to go.

Actually, he isn't.

No bathing suit.

I'm not sure about the requisite racing Speedo bathing suit. Ewww...they're just creepy. They immediately transform the wearer into either a pervert or walking porn. I just can't do that to Hubs, however, he can't swim in board shorts! What to do? Turn the man I love into a porn star?! Actually....now that I think about it...we could use the extra cash to spruce up the house, maybe go on that long anticipated vacation....

Hmmm....(*day dreaming and drooling*)

(Oops, got lost in thought there for a minute. Doesn't happen very often...I'll be sure not to do it again...)

I'm looking forward to the swimming section (I used to be a competitive swimmer) but am not looking forward to the monotony of doing nothing but staring at the pool floor and listening to myself breathe. Apparently you can get goggles that have an mp3 player with little speakers that go against your temples. You can actually swim to music. I'm thinking that's a necessity.

Maybe instead of appropriate bathing attire, we'll invest in the musical goggles and just swim naked!

Yeah, that ought to go over well with the other patrons.

Naked, rockin' swimmers....yeah!!! Talk about shakin' your groove thang!!!

A little boo-yah for naked swimming! Oh yeah, and one for the fact that Hub and I just completed the hardest run in the 13 week program and....if I do say so myself...WE ROCKED IT!!!

I love this!!!

Speaking of music, here are some of the songs that get me through the torture (*blush*, I mean 'workout'.)

1. Headphones: Britt Nicole (very catchy tune with a real positive message)
2. Rock me Amadeus: Falco
3. Somebody's Baby: Jackson Browne
4. Pump It: Black Eyed Peas
5. Electric Chair: Prince
6. Shake it: Metro Station
7. Wakin' Up in Vegas: Katy Perry
8. Let it Rock (Radio Edit): Kevin Rudolf
9. Gives You Hell: The All-American Rejects
10. Ladies' Choice: Zac Efron

Enjoy!

I first thought you said 50 mile run and I almost fell off my chair! Even 50 minutes...wow, AWESOME! Way to go and good luck with the swimming. I have NO advice on the swim suit/speedo issue but got a good chuckle out of your contemplations! Thanks
